Boat Diving Excursions in Sitges

Access the best dive sites of the Garraf coast from our boats. Diving in the Mediterranean for all levels from the Port of Aiguadolç.

🐛 Unique backgrounds ⚓ All levels 🌎 Garraf coastline 📅 Direct reserve

The seabed of the Garraf coast is one of the best kept secrets of the Costa Dorada. Posidonia oceanica meadows, rocky reefs covered with life, sponges, colorful fish, moray eels, octopuses and, with luck, the silhouette of a big fish crossing in the blue distance. A boat diving excursion in Sitges is the key to access this hidden world that exists just a few meters below the surface.

The advantage of going from the boat is obvious: you reach the best dive sites on the coast without having to carry your equipment from the shore, without dragging your fins along the beach, without sharing the entry point with dozens of swimmers. The boat takes you directly to the dive site, waits for you while you dive and picks you up as soon as you resurface. It is the most comfortable and efficient way to explore the bottom of the Mediterranean.

For those who prefer something more accessible, snorkeling from the boat platform is an equally fascinating experience: the waters of the Garraf coves have exceptional visibility and a marine life that surprises even those who are not regular divers. A skippered sailboat for diving offers the peace of mind of an experienced skipper who knows the best seabed, while the boat without a diving license is the most accessible option for groups without nautical qualifications.

Diving spots on the Sitges coastline

The Garraf coastline is home to some of the best dive sites in the Catalan Mediterranean. The rocky bottoms offer caves and crevices inhabited by moray eels, conger eels, starfish, sea urchins and a great variety of sparids. The Posidonia oceanica meadows are ecosystems of high biodiversity where slow and observant diving reveals a completely different world.

Among the most valued points by divers visiting the area are the reefs in front of the Garraf, with bottoms that start at a few meters deep and extend to deeper areas with a great wealth of benthic fauna. Visibility in these waters is usually excellent: in the months of lower turbidity it can exceed 15-20 meters horizontally.

Diving with and without certification

It is not necessary to have a PADI or similar qualifications to enjoy the seabed of Sitges. Snorkeling with goggles, snorkel and fins is an activity within the reach of anyone with basic swimming skills, and the shallow bottoms of the coves of the Garraf have enough marine life to entertain for hours.

For certified divers, the boat excursion allows access to points of greater depth and technical interest. Remember that diving equipment is not included in the boat rental: you will need to bring your own equipment or rent it through a local dive club prior to departure.

Combine diving with other activities

One of the advantages of renting the boat on your own is the freedom to combine the dive with other activities. Many groups dedicate the morning to diving and the afternoon to coastal fishing, or alternate dives with swimming in the cove and sunbathing on the solarium. You can also combine the excursion with marine wildlife watching: it is common to see dolphins in the waters of the Garraf, especially in the longer trips.

Prices diving excursions: licensed boats from 100€/hour or 300-400€ half day to reach the best dive sites. High power (150CV) from 150€/hour. Diving equipment is not included; consult local suppliers.
